SIRINTRA x MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2022
This year Sirintra bring the concept from a charming story of traditional craftsmanship of silk weaving. We will present the new collection under the name “Different but Harmonize”, a new collection from SIRINTRA, integrates the value of the time difference which eventually brings everything together. We would like to introduces the delicacy of the Thai Silk textiles from Ban Krua Community together with organic Thai Hemp from Hempthai. We have seen that deadstock fabrics are worthy and can have a wonderful transformation. Since we also focus on the sustainability, we use the unused fabrics and deadstock textile in order to support the community and value-added to the leftovers.
At Sirintra, we are committed to sourcing quality materials that will have less impact to our planet. So far in 2022, the fabric in our collections are more sustainably sourced.
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED MATERIALS
Organic Hemp Fiber
Hemp fibers comes from the hemp plant. There are no chemicals and harmful fertilizers have been used. This plant consumes less water to cultivate and also releases nutrients back into the land around it. Furthermore, we want to help and support the local villagers mainly the Hmong Hill tribe. We also want to promote the importance of keeping the environment clean so that the next generations can take advantage of our methods in the future.
By giving a new life to the death stock fabrics through repurposing, we can help to reduce the demand of the limited natural resources on our planet. This could be unused fabric or textiles can made into new clothes. The craftsmanship of Thai silk weaving is outstanding by its identity like the design and patterns. We seek out new innovative production methods to bring more benefit of unused fibers into our compositions.
