It all began in Klagenfurt, 1868. That's when Josef Rettl founded Kärntner k.u.k. Uniformierungsanstalt - purveyor to the Court of Austria-Hungary. Today, five generations later, the company is still faithful to the high quality standards set by the military, but fashion created today by Thomas Rettl, is much more diverse and colourful. Rettl 1868 created a sensation with their legendary kilts. Fans of these unique Carinthian kilts include former Austrian Alpine skiers Franz Klammer and Armin Assinger and ski jumper Thomas Morgenstern. Sir Sean Connery and even members of the British Royal Family have also been spotted in Rettl 1868 kilts!
Clothes should reflect the personality of the person who wears them. Rettl has clearly made a name for himself by giving his customers the possibility to express themselves through his unique custom-made clothes.
