Kiyohara Orimono is a textile manufacturer in Shiga Prefecture, specialised in Tsuzureori, a weaving technique with a 4000 years history.
Since the foundation of the company in 1873, Kiyohara Orimono offers high-quality art textiles such as tapestries for ceremonial festivals, shrines and temples, fashion textiles for kimono belts, or decorative curtains, carpets for interior decoration.
In order to pass on the baton of their long history to the next hundred years, they have launched their own brand, SUFUTO, an accessory brand with daily life accessories (pouches, cardholders) made using the Tsuzureori weaving technique, usually meant for auspicious cloth.
Keeping the traditions alive, the concept behind SUFUTO is to offer products for everyday life and for celebration.
