Köchert - 200 years
1814 - The world affairs gravitate towards Vienna, the imperial capital. The Congress deliberates and dances in the Hofburg Palace. And the two goldsmiths Emmanuel Pioté and Heinrich Köchert open their shop at Neuer Markt. From the very beginning they manufacture jewels that satisfy the most discriminating taste. Regents, diplomats and international nobility order their handmade pieces and the name Köchert soon becomes synonym for exquisite jewellery. Tradition obliges - to translate the knowledge of 200 years' artistry into future styles. For the former Purveyor to the Court of Austria-Hungary the customer still is the emperor!
EMPERESS ELISABETH'S STARS
These jewels were immortalized by Franz Xaver Winterhalter's famous Sisi-portrait. Köchert recreated and reissued them as hairpin, pendant and brooch.
The Coccinella series: Using a particular knotting technique, established by the Wiener Werkstätte, necklaces earrings and bracelets are created out of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other colourful precious stones.
